Stained woodwork to bright white.

Stained bay window before painting white.
Jcb Painting just finished this paint job in Taunton, MA.

It was a total house transformation from dark stained woodwork to bright white.

A lot of prep work went into this job including caulking, puttying, and sanding.

Then 1 coat of bonding primer was applied and finished with 2 coats of top-shelf semi-gloss from Benjamin Moore.

Painting over stained woodwork to bright white makes for a real home improvement project.

This makeover also increases a home's resale value.

From Remodel Or Move.👇

"Painting trim white can definitely increase the value of a home. White trim brings a bright, clean, classic look to a home, instantly increasing its aesthetic appeal. Aside from the cosmetic benefits of painting white trim, white also helps reflect natural and artificial light, which can make rooms appear larger, warmer, and more inviting."👇

"White trim can also be used to highlight architectural features in a room, whereas darker trim can often look flat and boring. Finally, white trim offers flexibility when it comes to styling and accessorizing, as it can easily be matched with virtually any color scheme or design style."

Painted white door and jamb.

"White trim is not going out of style any time soon. White trim is a classic look that has been popular for many years and continues to be sought after. Many people prefer white trim for its clean, classic look, which can make any interior design look crisp and modern."

Stained bi-fold door before being painted white.

"People often paint trim white because it provides a crisp, finished look that can brighten up a room and make its architecture stand out. White trim can help draw attention to the various details in a home and create an illusion of more space."

"Finally, white is a timeless, classic color that can pair both warm and cool colors, so it can easily be used in traditional, contemporary, or modern home designs."

Livingroom Painting in Mansfield, MA.

Before painting livingroom - Mansfield, MA.

Interior painting in Mansfield, MA.

There was a lot of wall repair in this room thus the spot priming on the walls and around the fireplace.
All the trim was re-caulked and re-painted with a top-shelf semi-gloss from Benjamin Moore.

after living room walls painted.

As you can see from this image Jcb Painting always caulks the baseboard heater to the wall and paints it the wall color. Unless the customer prefers not to. Most like it painted the wall color.

Nursery Painting in Berkley, MA.

Before painting nursery in Berkley, MA.
The finish paint job in nursery in Berkley, MA.

Jcb Painting just finished this nursery room painting in Berkley, MA. last week.

This room was in very poor shape because the previous paint job was obviously painted by a non-professional. The woodwork and walls were hacked-up big time. For instance, hardened paint drips EVERYWHERE! Some people should never attempt interior house painting.

But after a lot of hard work patching, sanding, caulking, etc, etc, Jcb Painting got it done. The new owners of this Berkley home were very happy with the results and have contracted with us to paint the rest of their interior.

And the walls were patched, sanded and painted with 2 coats of another shade
of gray.

Painting Prep Work in Taunton, MA.

Fixing a stress crack before painting.

We fix a lot of "stress cracks" in many homes that we work in doing a paint job. This home is in Taunton, MA. Most of these types of cracks appear over and below windows and door jambs and are a usual part of painting prep work. They are quite common and not "unusual". This crack is over a kitchen window.

Interior house painting in North Attleborough, MA

Jcb Painting logo.

When I first started painting I thought I knew how to paint. (doesn't everyone?)  In order to paint well you have to use the proper tools, i.e. good brushes and roller knaps, not the cheap ones. If you go the cheap route the job will be much harder to do. It also makes sense to spend the extra money for premium paints. Because you really do get what you pay for and the paint job will look much better than if you used cheap stuff. Trust me.

You need a good eye for cutting in, a steady hand to get those straight paint lines and quite a bit of knowledge.

No two paint jobs are the same. They are all different in some way. Some are easy to do, and some harder to do.

With all the products associated with painting, paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, etc, you have to be part chemist and painter at the same time.

You have to know what to do first and what to do last to insure a great paint job. And after decades of painting homes and businesses in southeastern Massachusetts we have that experience. We are always on time, neat, and trustworthy.

When Jcb Painting comes to the job we set up for the day. We cover all floors and furniture. We move all furniture away from the walls and sweep and vacuum the area that will be worked that day.
Prepping and cutting in the bedroom for painting.
We then proceed to prep the area, caulking baseboard and trim neatly, and patching and sanding the walls to get ready for painting. (painting is the easy part!)

We prime and paint the ceilings first and then prime and paint all the woodwork, (doors, windows, baseboard, all trim) then we paint the walls.

At the end of the day, if the room isn't finished, we clean up again (sweeping, vacuuming) and put the room back in order so it can still be used. We only disrupt the area while we are working.

Painting a 2 story foyer.

This is a video of a 2 story foyer paint job Jcb Painting did in
Mansfield, MA. We paint a lot of foyers and staircases.

Painting a 2 story foyer is one of the more challenging rooms in a house to paint.

We painted all walls, ceiling, doors, Jambs, and other wood trim with Benjamin Moore paint.

We used Ultra Spec 500 low sheen on the walls.
gallom - Benjamin Moore -Ultra Spec 500 -low sheen
It is a highly washable wall paint and has great touch up capabilities when you have a lot of traffic (kids) going up and down the stairs.

On all the woodwork, we used Benjamin Moore's Classic Regal semi gloss. The best semi gloss on the market in my opinion. This paint when applied is self leveling and leaves no brush marks for a very smooth finish with just the right shine.

Foxboro Paint Job: All trim has been re-caulked and re-painted in the living room with Benjamin Moore Regal Semi-Gloss (333). The best semi-gloss on the market in my opinion. The semi-gloss used before was the paint and primer stuff. The paint we used is just a straight semi-gloss. Far superior to the paint and primer product.

Starting an interior re-painting job in Foxboro painting walls, ceilings, windows, trim and doors. 5 rooms total. We will first start off with the preparation of the room to be painted, covering all furniture with clean plastic sheeting and the floor with clean drop cloths.
Then remove all pictures, switch and plug plates off the walls to start wall sanding and patching.
After that is done, we will re-caulk all trim. (baseboards, windows, jambs) The caulking will set for 1 day before painting to give a good firm foundation for painting over.
